Job Description Summary

RiceCo is currently seeking a Production Manager for the U.S. This individual is responsible for the management of the tolling and third-party manufacturing relationships. This individual has ownership of formulations and quality parameters, and coordinates with R&D team (India) during formulation development and takes responsibility of the final formula, under the direction of the Supply Chain Director.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Ensure timely production with zero quality problems.
• Negotiate and establish tolling agreements for the required services
• Work with toll manufacturing operations, spending at least 20% time at toll facilities.
• Assessment of Quality issues at customer locations.
• Coordinates with suppliers for timely delivery of raw materials.
• Coordinates with 3rd party finished goods for quality and packaging.
• Closely works with R&D for recipe development and improvements.

Skill

• Has an awareness of what constitutes fire & explosion and chemical reaction hazards and some understanding of the key properties & parameters
• Aware of the general guidance relating to process hazards
• To ensure maintenance and smooth running of process hazards equipments to eliminate delays in data generation.
• Able to complete the standard Process Risk Assessment forms with reference to the relevant supporting documentation
• Understands the key implications of process hazards data (e.g. risks of decomposition, frictional or electrostatic ignition hazards etc.)
• Understands and follows the safety policies applicable to the lab
